RVT Launches two New CPD Courses

Education is a huge part of RVT, and we believe that all site workers should fully understand the impact hazards can have, not only on their health, but on the environment as well. As such, we offer multiple CPD UK approved sessions, covering a range of topics.

CPD UK is a nationally recognised training provider, supporting workers all over the country with their continued professional development. CPD UK allows you to keep your current qualifications up to date. You can also learn new skills and build your existing ones, no matter what your occupation, age or education level is. All our sessions include 45 minutes of teaching with a 15-minute Q&A session and count as 1 hour toward your continued professional development training. All attendees also receive a CPD certificate upon completion of each session.

An Introduction to Health Hazard Control in Facilities Management (Course number A020526) - 11am on 15^th September

In this presentation, you will learn the extensive impact that poor hazard control can have on employees, patients, customers and visitors during maintenance, construction or renovation works.

Kevin Dupont, technical consultant at RVT, will take you through several example scenarios based on different live settings and challenges. You will learn how hazards such as noise, dust and fume can be managed by the Capture, Contain, Control “3Cs” methodology. We will also provide examples of the available and compliant hazard control solutions that ensure functionality, comfort, safety and efficiency, keeping those within live facilities comfortable and, most importantly, safe.

An Introduction to Water Treatment On Site (Course number A036961) - 10am on 29^th September

Based on our original Water Treatment CPD, this course now contains brand new content for 2022.

When carrying out construction work, the main contractor or landowner is responsible for any water that is to be moved or discharged from site. This presentation introduces the importance of water management on site, the regulations in place, and how we can achieve effective water treatment, minimising environmental impact.

RVT’s Vince Crane (Technical Manager) and Daniel Adeoye ((Water Treatment Specialist) will introduce you to the hierarchy of control, as well as the most common water pollutants from site run off and their environmental impact. You will also be introduced to the types of solutions available based on current best practice and understand the serious consequences of non-compliance.
