Helping to drive positive change in occupational health and well-being in the construction sector
10th September 2020The Society of Occupational Medicine (SOM) work with the government, healthcare bodies, not-for-profit organisations, as well as corporate supporters, to promote a healthier workforce.
The SOM conduct research and facilitate discussions to help come up with initiatives that will drive positive change in workplace health and well-being.
The SOM have three key concerns;
• The protection of the health of people in the workplace
• The prevention of occupational injuries and disease
• Related environmental issues
Our customers will be aware that we primarily operate within the construction industry, and we are already working with contractors to implement best practice dust control, fume control, noise control and ventilation on site. This is an area we feel passionately about, and we are keen to see minimum standards being implemented on site so that everyone can go home healthy.
RVT look forward to engaging with the SOM and helping to influence positive change in occupational wellness.
