RVT Raises £546 for The Rivers Trust

On Monday 19^th January, RVT hosted a staff raffle in aid of the Rivers Trust. The raffle included all of the gifts that had been sent to us in December from our suppliers.

Why did we host our raffle on Blue Monday?

In the UK, the third Monday in January is commonly known as ‘Blue Monday’ because the weather is usually bad, payday hasn’t come around, there is a drop in excitement post-Christmas, and generally motivation is hitting a low point. So, to help avoid ‘the blues’ setting in, we hosted a raffle!

We had over 60 prizes, which included hampers, prosecco, and chocolates. Each raffle ticket entry cost £3, and in total we raised an amazing £546 for The Rivers Trust!

Why did we select The Rivers Trust?

RVT Group are passionate about protecting people and the environment, and so The Rivers Trust is a charity that we donate to every year. The Rivers Trust work across Britain, Northern Ireland and Ireland to drive positive change to rivers by stopping pollution, building climate resilience and helping natures recovery.
