During the current COVID-19 crisis, it is vital to keep your work zones clean and safe, and hazards under control to prevent the spread of the virus. Below are some examples of different requirements and how our effective solutions can help you.

Need to Force Clean Air in and Purge Contaminated Air Out?

To force clean air into your work area and purge out contaminated air, RVT can recommend the Dustex® Airlock. The Dustex® Airlock is designed to create an isolation airlock between a contaminated area and a sensitive environment. For maximum effectiveness, the Dustex Airlock should be used with the Dustex® Raptor HEPA Filtration system to create a positive pressure environment. By continuously pumping clean air into the area you wish to keep free from hazards, and then leaking it out through envelope leakages or other openings, this will ensure that there is no risk of particle migration, or contamination into surrounding areas.

Need to Extract & Filter Contaminated Air?

For the extraction and filtration of contaminated air, the Dustex® WandaFilta and the Dustex® DustMaster can be used to create positive or negative pressure environments of all sizes. To create a negative pressure environment, a vacuum is created by using an extraction system to remove air faster than it is replaced. As a result, the air from outside rushes in (via access points) balancing out the air pressure in the room, keeping the hazard contained and controlled. Our Dustex® filtration units come with the option of a highly effective HEPA filter to prevent the spread of contamination and maintain good air quality.

Need to Heating and/or Cool Temporary Facilities?

In these unprecedented times, we are seeing many temporary facilities being set up to help combat the virus. With these temporary facilities, comes the issue of heating and cooling certain areas. For example, you may need to heat a temporary workplace or cool a medical store. RVT’s Climex® Climate Control Solutions includes indirect oil-fired heaters, electric fans, dehumidifiers, boilers, air conditioning units and chillers. This wide range of equipment means that we will be able to help you find the climate solution that works best for you, whatever your requirement.

Looking for a 'wipe clean' screen?

To ensure that your workplace is easy to clean regularly, our Soundex® Curtains and Quilts serve as a perfect “wipe clean” screen. These products are made from a durable, non-irritant, water-proof material. They can easily be disinfected to maintain a sterile environment. Furthermore, they can act as a screen to separate sensitive areas, and they are BS 7955 (scaffolding) compliant.

Looking for a temporary work area or store?

Our large range of Soundex® enclosures are incredibly adaptable; they are available in a range of sizes, some are fully enclosed, and some have a front opening. If you are working on a new temporary facility this could be an ideal solution for storage, work areas or sensitive areas. Some of our enclosures are also specifically designed to protect against generator noise.

Are You Using Temporary Generators?

Temporary facilities are often powered by generators, and they can produce at least 70dB! Particularly in sensitive environments, it is vital that patients, staff and the surrounding area and residents are protected from excessive noise. By installing one of our Soundex® generator enclosures, you can reduce noise by up to 59.9dB! Made from the same material as our Soundex® curtains and quilts, these enclosures can also be easily wiped clean and disinfected so you can make cleanliness a priority.

To ensure that your hazard solutions are working properly and effectively, it is best practice to also monitor the hazards you are trying to control.
