So why is it so hot in the UK?

Climate scientists are warning that this is just the beginning of the volatile weather changes we are going to see across the UK (and the rest of the world), if we do not significantly reduce carbon emissions.

The International Energy Agency estimates that CO2 emissions from energy increased by 6% in 2021 to 36.3 billion tonnes, and the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPPC) explained that we need to reduce that by 43% by 2030 in order to make a significant difference to climate change.

Contractors across the UK have pledged to reduce their carbon emissions, with many announcing new environmental policies, reduced carbon emission targets and investments into greener solutions.
