RVT explain how we are handling the switch over for customers who currently use red diesel.
22nd February 2022The Government have announced that effective from 1st April 2022, they will be removing the entitlement to use red diesel from most sectors, including the Construction sector. With the new legislation imminent, we wanted to let you know our stance and to make this transition as seamless as possible for you.
With HMRC stating that Red HVO is not to be used in conjunction with heating or power generation, our default will be to transition across to White Diesel initially, however white HVO will also be available (rate available on request). We’re aware that this will come as an inconvenience to some and with an uplift in cost to most which we acknowledge and have set out a plan below to keep any expenses incurred to a minimum, whilst ensuring that we maintain our service levels to you, and that we all comply with the current Government legislation. Our plan is to be as convenient and as cost effective as possible to you.
For customers who are relying on us for fuel management, here are the key dates that customers should be aware of:
Thank you for working with us through this transition period. If anything is unclear, please do be free to reach out to us. We’re striving to make this as straightforward as possible for all of our customers.
Thank you to everyone who has placed orders with us, and we’re looking forward to continuing to protect the long-term health of people and the environment on your sites in 2022.
