RVT has two new Dustex Hydramist offerings to help manage dusty activities on site
14th April 2021Construction sites are dusty, especially during the summer months, and once dust is in the air, it is tough to control. Dust, regardless of what it contains, has been identified as a possible cause of COPD. One of the simplest ways of managing the health risks associated with dust is to stop it from becoming airborne.
Airborne dust can be suppressed with a Dustex Hydramist water suppression unit. The applications where you might consider using a Hydramist water suppression unit include; quarrying, demolition, construction, land remediation, waste handling, aggregate processing, recycling and mining.
RVT offer a wide range of water suppression units, which vary in size and can offer a throw of between 10m and 80m. Some units provide a very fine mist, whereas others provide a high concentration of water to suppress heavier dust particles.
Some models feature an integrated water tank for convenience, whereas other units need to be connected to a water supply; each are best suited to different applications. The units with integrated tanks are not restricted by water supply, making them ideal for remote areas; furthermore, you can add odour-neutraliser to the tank if required. If you need continuous coverage, it might be beneficial to go for a suppression unit that can connect to a water supply, although some of the integrated tank units will run continuously for over 6 hours!
For summer 2021, RVT has introduced two new Dustex Hydramist options for customers.
A self-contained, mobile dust suppression unit for controlling large-scale dust emissions The Hydramist 35 is designed to provide large-scale dust suppression on sites where power and water are available. With a 90-degree automatic oscillation function, the Hydramist 35 can be set-up to cover wide areas. View solution >
The Hydramist 35GT is a self-contained, mobile dust suppression solution, designed to control dense, local airborne dust in locations without dedicated power or water supplies. The high-water output makes this particularly suitable for very dusty activities such as demolition Incorporating its own diesel-powered pump and 1,100ltr water tank, it can operate without the constraints of a dedicated power or water supply.
