Members of the team have completed the challenge at home in aid of the British Lung Foundation

The RVT team has pulled together during the COVID-19 crisis to raise money for the British Lung Foundation (BLF).
The BLF is one of the main supporters of those fighting lung disease and carries out vital research that can improve people’s quality of life. Understandably, their services have been in higher demand since the start of the pandemic and the RVT team was eager to raise money for the charity to help them during this challenging time.
Our Couch to 5K was originally planned to take place at the local Dartford Harriers Running Track on the 3rd June this year. This, however, was cancelled and we had to get creative! In the absence of a running track, we have gone for long, socially distanced walks, jogged on our treadmills and completed multiple laps of our gardens instead. Our distances were tracked via pedometers and exercise apps and, as you can see, everyone really embraced this challenge!
At RVT, we always strive to care for others every day and the company is built on six core values that all staff members aim to follow. These values are: Can Do Attitude, Respect for All, Enthusiastic and Positive, Honest and Accountable, Deliver Excellence, and Care for Others.
With our “Care for Others” value in mind, RVT has already donated £2000 to the BLF. Also, the sales of our Return to Work hygiene products have not only enabled our customers to return to work safely but has also allowed RVT to donate a further £700!
On top of those donations, the company directors pledged to donate a further £50 for each person who completed the Couch to 5K challenge. Thanks to the team’s determination and donations from family, friends, customers, suppliers and our directors, RVT is donating a further £3,124.50 to the BLF! So, overall, we are incredibly proud to say that RVT has donated an amazing total of £5,824.50 to the BLF so far this year!
