Brand-New Construction in Healthcare CPD Just Launched!

RVT Group’s latest CPD presentation is Health Hazard Control in the Healthcare Environment. This introductory level training is ideal for construction workers on site in live hospitals and hospital IPC teams whose settings are undergoing maintenance, construction, or renovation work.

During such activities it is vitally important that a clean and safe environment is maintained and that 100% of airborne contaminants are captured, contained, and controlled. Exposure to dust, funghi or aspergillus spores can further endanger the health of patients who are already immunocompromised, leaving them at higher risk of infection. Construction teams, capital planning and IPC teams therefore need to work closely together to ensure that an effective contamination-control programme is implemented which will capture, contain, and control dust particles, and eliminate the risk of infection. Legislation, such as the Health Building Note (HBN 00-09) from the Department of Health, has been produced to ensure that suitable hazard control measures are employed at all times.

As such, RVT Group have launched a brand new CPD presentation, certified by CPD UK, which helps to breakdown the HBN 00-09 into an easy-to-understand format. We also provide practical advice on what equipment and methodology can be used to meet the guidance. RVT are specialists in dust control and, in this presentation, introduce the Capture, Contain, Control "3C's" methodology, explaining how it can be applied to airborne health hazards in the healthcare environment. By applying the correct methodology which controls dust effectively, we not only protect patients and hospital staff, but we also protect the construction teams and tradesmen working on site.
