The RVT team put their thinking caps on for the latest fundraising event.

On 17th September the RVT team took part in a virtual charity quiz to raise money for Cancer Research UK. September is national awareness month for blood, prostate and ovarian cancer, amongst others; all cancers that can be developed through past exposure to carcinogenic substances at work. Therefore, this is a cause close RVT’s heart.
Whilst donating to aid cancer research is hugely important at any time, with the ongoing Covid-19 crisis, it is vital. Cancer Research UK has had to cut £44 million from their research, so donations of all sizes will make a real difference.
At the virtual quiz, RVT team members enjoyed 5 rounds of eight questions, including General Knowledge, Guess the Logo and Dingbats. Although it was a close call, the winners were announced as Carol Telling and Michelle Forde from our amazing business development team. Carol and Michelle joined forces – team name “The Kool Kats” – and won with an impressive 30 points!
Fundraising is a huge part of RVT’s culture; we believe that we can only deliver excellence to our customers if our own team is happy in their working environment. Therefore, we aim to follow 6 core company values:
In an example of RVT showing exceptional care for others, a target was set for £100 to be raised across the company. However, the team’s generosity has seen us raise a total of £353.00 for Cancer Research UK, more than tripling our original target!
