Work Experience at RVT Group

At our recent Action on Site Health (South) event, RVT Group were lucky enough to be joined by two valuable work experience colleagues for the day. Suzy Nottage and Jamie Swanborough were eager to help the team, getting involved in everything from roving microphone responsibilities through to setting up and packing away.

Suzy is 17 and set a high standard for construction professionals in the room by coming 3^rd in our quiz on the day! She is currently at sixth form studying Business, Psychology and English, and is aiming to attend University in the near future. Suzy currently has a part-time job in events and has a long-term goal of a career in marketing so she was a real attribute on the day, helping to distribute marketing and educational materials and being on-call throughout the day to ensure everything ran smoothly.

Jamie is 17 and currently studying for his Business, Economics and Music Technology A-Levels. He is hoping to get into an apprenticeship at the end of his studies with a long-term goal of being involved in the music industry. Jamie was a huge help during the event, taking on responsibilities like welcoming guests, on-call support throughout the day and took the limelight with the roving mic. Jamie continues his work experience with RVT for the rest of the week and is looking forward to learning new skills as he spends time with different teams.

As part of our ongoing commitment to improve our ESG practices, we aim to develop an internship/apprenticeship offering by 2028. Opening our doors to work experience candidates helps us take strides towards this goal as we learn what they need from us and how we can help them achieve their long-term ambitions.
