RVT Makes Food Hampers for Families in Need

This Christmas, RVT decided to support the charity Home-Start by creating some festive food hampers for local families in need.

Home-Start is a local community network of trained volunteers and expert support, helping families with young children who are experiencing challenging times. The charity works tirelessly to improve the quality of life for these families and, last year, Home-Start supported 56,000 children in 27,000 families across the UK.

The RVT Team pulled together to raise over £400 in personal donations, which was then generously matched by our directors. With this amazing amount, Carol Telling, our Business Development Manager, and other members of her fantastic team, created 20 beautiful hampers that could be enjoyed by both adults and children alike.

The hampers contained some staple items such as tea and coffee but were also packed full of treats. These included matchmakers, mince pies, biscuits, Celebrations, Lindor chocolates and, of course, jellybeans.

The hampers were safely delivered to the Dartford Home-Start office by RVT team members Martin Beardon and Michelle Forde, where they were gladly received. Home-Start’s verdict when they saw the hampers? “They’re better than M&S!”

Creating and raising money for these hampers has been a fantastic way to contribute to the local community during these challenging times. Here at RVT Group we have six core values at the heart of everything we do, these are; Can Do Attitude, Respect for All, Enthusiastic and Positive, Honest and Accountable, Deliver Excellence, and Care for Others. One of the ways that we demonstrate “Care for Others” is through donating to a diverse range of charities, and we are very proud of our regular company-wide fundraising activities.
