We have two new ATEX fans that will provide maximum protection for workers in hazardous environments.

RVT is pleased to be offering two new ventilation solutions. These brand new ATEX/ IECEX certified axial fans will complement our existing range of ATEX approved equipment and confined space equipment, providing more options to our customers who are working in potentially hazardous environments.
You cannot afford to take chances when site operatives are working in potentially explosive atmospheres; a potentially explosive atmosphere exists when a mixture of air, gases, vapours, mists, or dusts combine in a way that can ignite under certain operating conditions. Equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres must be compliant with the ATEX directive. Equipment with an IECEx certificate is manufactured to independently verified standards with regular audits giving you the confidence that the equipment is both electrically and mechanically safe.
Our new range of fans are certified by IECEx and are therefore fully compliant with the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU and the UK ATEX Regulation (The Equipment and Protective Systems Intended for Use in Potentially Explosive Atmospheres Regulations 2016).
The ATEX fans will provide powerful and portable ventilation in hazardous areas – specified for safe and reliable extraction and venting of dangerous gases and vapours in explosive atmospheres.
RVT will be offering two new units; a 300mm diameter axial fan and a 400mm diameter axial fan. Both of the new fans are ATEX/IECEx certified to Electrical & Non-Electrical Standards (Mechanical) for Zone 1 & Zone 2 ventilation applications. The key difference between the two units is the size and airflow; the smaller unit has an airflow of 4700 m3/h and the larger unit has an airflow of 9400m3/h.
Thorne & Derrick International, leaders in equipment for explosive atmospheres, will be supplying these new units under a contractual partnership. Under the new agreement, Thorne & Derrick will also be providing full technical & safety support, giving our customers total peace of mind.
