Hampers Delivered to Families in Need

This December, RVT supported our local branch of the charity Home-Start again, providing 20 festive hampers for distribution to local families in need.

Home-Start is a local community network of trained volunteers who are there to help and support families with young children. It is an invaluable resource for those living through challenging circumstances and, last year, the charity supported 56,000 children in 27,000 families across the UK.[1]

The hampers were packed with great care by members of the RVT Team and were full of festive treats, including hot chocolate, cheesy biscuits, small toys and candy canes.

To support the hamper initiative, the board of directors granted a generous budget, and the team also pulled together to raise over £250 in personal donations. Once assembled, the hampers were then safely delivered by members of the team to the local Home-Start office where they were gladly received by staff.

At RVT, we try to live by our company values every day and we think that fundraising and supporting charities close to our hearts is a great way to support our “respect and care for all” value.

We are proud to have donated these hampers to Home-Start as, not only has this initiative supported an incredibly important charity, but it has also given back to the local community.
