The CITB have been working with the CLC and others to produce a comprehensive range of interactive checklists and forms to assist construction employers. The resources will ensure that those who are permitted and able to return to work have a clear understanding of how they can apply the CLC’s COVID-19 Site Operating Procedures (Version 3).
The purpose of these documents is to ensure that construction companies are protecting their workforce and minimising the risk of transmission. The pack includes:
CC01: COVID-19 – Site operating procedures compliance checklist
The CITB have extracted the significant points from the CLC’s Site Operating Procedures (V3) and re-purposed these points as a checklist of actions. This checklist is fully approved by the Construction Leadership Council (CLC).

CC02: COVID-19 – Health, safety and environmental risk assessment template
On 11th May, the UK Government published “Working safely during COVID-19 in construction and other outdoor work”; the first section of this document is focused around Risk Assessments. It is essential that all sites re-assess their work-place with the following risks in mind;
- The risk of airborne transmission
- The risk of surface transmission

CC04: COVID-19 – Weekly site operating procedures checklist
This weekly check list is designed to check that the measures you have implemented are being effective and that new procedures are being followed. The form includes a ‘comments’ section which can be used to detail observations.
