What is the M60 Diesel Exhaust Filter Twin Kit?
The M60 Diesel Particulate Filter Kit consists of 2x M60 units and a Y-splitter. The M60 Twin Kit is designed to be used with small mobile plant with engine sizes up to 100kW, where space/fixing constraints do not allow the use of the HD90 Filter. These units are designed to remove 95% of diesel particulate to protect both people and the environment, and should be used on all diesel plant machinery, especially when working in an enclosed spaces such as a basements, shafts and warehouses. The M60 Twin Kit is ideal for protecting both people and the environment from exhaust emissions.
How is the unit fitted?
Both filter units magnetically attach to a suitable metal surface on the body of the machine. The intake is connected to the exhaust via a high-temperature Y-splitter and 2m flexible hose. See photos below.
What maintenance is required?
The internal filter will require replacing when the surface has become a uniform dark grey, indicating the filter media is fully loaded. Due to differences in engine emissions from one machine to the next, the time taken for each filter to become full will vary. The larger and/or dirtier the machine, the quicker the filter will fill up; as a guide, filters commonly last 4-6 weeks
