The Climex® DD450 Dehumidifier removes moisture from the air without heating the area up. It is suitable for cold and unheated areas because it will continue to extract moisture from the air even in very cold conditions.
Traditionally, dehumidifiers are designed to be inside the room they are dying, what makes this unit different is it can perform with long lengths of ducting. It can be based outside of a work area whilst ensuring even spread of dehumidified air within a building, vessel, or encapsulation.
How it works
This unit can either recirculate air within a space or pump dry air in from outside the work area. It is especially suitable for environments which need to be very dry. Humid air is sucked in by the fan, the pre filter gets rid of any dust in the air (please note that it is not a HEPA filter), then it is blown to the rotor (middle cylinder) which is coated in silica gel. As the air is blown through, the humidity is absorbed, and it is pushed out the machine as dry air. This desiccant dehumidifier is designed to provide maximum flexibility, it has twin 300mm duct connections for process air, and a single 250mm outlet for regeneration air.
The DD450 has PLC control and various parameters that can be adjusted to provide optimal performance within a particular environment. RVT engineers will be able to advise on the most appropriate location and method of connection for the machine.
