Cutters and saws, breakers and generators all create noise that can be a nuisance to, or even damage the hearing of, those nearby.

Although they pose different challenges, dealing with the noise from each requires specific solutions which follow the fundamental principles of noise control: positioning the acoustic barrier as close as possible to the source of the noise, and blocking the line of sight between it and the people affected.


To be effective in minimising the sound produced, the control equipment used must be able to contain the sound around the source.
