The UK’s essential marine defence sector continuously works to protect our country, our waters, and our people.
9th June 2023RVT are proud to support the UK’s marine defence sector and the charities dedicated to those working within it.
As part of our company values, RVT supports a wide range of charities that align with our mission of protecting the long-term health of people and the environment. This includes SSAFA, a UK based charity founded in 1885 that provides lifelong support to both regulars and reserves in the Royal Navy, the Royal Marines, the British Army, and the Royal Air Force as well as their families and dependents.
This year, RVT has donated £5,000 to SSAFA in support of their important work, which includes a confidential telephone helpline, support for those leaving the forces and transitioning back to “civvy street”, support for homeless veterans, vital resources for military families and older veterans, a military couples adoption service and much more.
For nearly 150 years, SSAFA has provided a lifeline to many families during both wartime and peacetime. It continues to support thousands of people in the UK and on military bases around the world.

For over ten years, RVT have been working with UK Naval Bases and Dockyards. We understand the vital importance of well-maintained, structurally sound marine defence vessels as they work to protect our country, our waters, and our people. Over the years, we have supplied specialist and bespoke temporary solutions for uncontrolled hazards on site such as dust, fume and noise produced during hull and plate repairs, propeller repairs, fibreglass repairs, paint spraying and more.
