Stay Safe When Working in a Confined Space

Entry to a confined space must be carried out in accordance with a “permit to work” which formalises the precautions needed.

The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 require employers and self-employed people to carry out a risk assessment to identify the hazards present in a confined space and determine what safety measures are needed.
