Real-Time Environmental and Personal Noise Monitoring

Our solutions are suitable for construction, demolition, infrastructure and industrial projects.

Yes, we can set up automated SMS or email alerts that are triggered if noise levels exceed predefined limits, ensuring you can take immediate action to stay compliant.

Yes, we can handle the installation, calibration and configuration of any hired monitoring equipment from RVT Group, ensuring everything is set up correctly and tailored to your project's specific noise monitoring requirements.

Local authorities and the Environment Agency are responsible for investigating and penalising noise nuisances under the Environmental Protection Act 1990. If site noise is found to be excessive, you could be issued with a Noise Abatement Notice.

Yes, while noise monitoring tells you what’s happening in real-time, we can also recommend noise control and reduction solutions to help you manage noise proactively.

Yes, our monitoring solutions are designed to support compliance with occupational health and environmental standards, as well as providing clear evidence that noise levels are being effectively controlled.

Yes, we can handle the installation, calibration and configuration of any hired monitoring equipment from RVT Group, ensuring everything is set up correctly and tailored to your project's specific dust monitoring requirements.

You can access live and historical data remotely via our cloud-based portal, which allows you to track trends and produce reports. To log into the RVT cloud based monitoring portal, click here.

BS 5288 is the code of practice for noise and vibration control on construction and open sites. Part 1 provides guidance on noise control and recommends the use of the ‘ABC method’ for determining threshold noise levels. This involves measuring existing ambient noise levels outside the dwellings and categorising them A, B or C, with the relevant threshold level derived from the category. For more information please refer to the full code of practice which is available to purchase on line.

Construction activities can generate excessive noise levels, which can negatively impact the environment, as well as those living and working nearby. It is therefore important to monitor noise to ensure that the impact is reduced as much as reasonably practicable.
