Case Study Overview

A BAE Naval Ship Yard approached RVT Group after a Senior Project Engineer working on Royal Navy vessels experienced issues with excessive dust.

Challenge

As fibreglass surfaces were sanded during modification works, a very fine dust was produced which posed a health risk to the workforce, it was therefore critical to implement suitable extraction and filtration solutions.

Solution

Following a site visit and detailed assessment by an RVT Group Technical Engineer, a bespoke DUSTEX™ Dust Control Solution was designed and installed. RVT provided a high power, hazardous class, extraction unit with ducting to create 6 points of simultaneous extraction.
