Noise Controlled Effectively During Construction of New Neighbourhood

This purpose-built, aspirational new neighbourhood provides a new living and working environment, including 523 high quality homes, a primary school, a care home, shops, hotels, and restaurants. A new road system was also built and a new roundabout required.

Challenge

The roundabout construction site was situated near other residential areas which could have been impacted by noise pollution.

Solution

RVT recommended Soundex Acoustic Curtains, which reduced noise by up to 32.9dB. The Velcro fastenings and eyelets on the curtains also enabled easy fastening and suspension, while maintaining a seamless noise control barrier. This was the ideal solution that Breheny were looking for.
