The LON 01-02 Data Centre is a recently upgraded facility located in London designed to accommodate large-scale IT infrastructure, providing support for the technology needs of businesses, government, hospitals, and schools in the region.

Challenge

During the fit-out stage of the data centre’s construction, it was integral that dusty works remained contained and controlled. Without specialist, temporary hazard control solutions in place, dust could be a direct threat to the future reliability, performance and compliance of the data centre as well as the long-term health of workers on-site.

Solution

RVT Group supplied a DUSTEX® Raptor to extract dust directly from the fit-out activity and paired it with a DUSTEX® Air-lock and DUSTEX® Aire Guardian enclosures. This separated work areas and ensured dust created did not migrate to other areas, creating an all-in-one solution when paired with dust extraction.

This helped keep the project on-track, keep compliant with health and safety regulations and, most importantly, keep the team protected from potentially harmful dust particulate.
