Good Air Quality Maintained During Hydro Demolition

Manchester New Square is a new development of 351 apartments, new restaurants and shops. Before construction work started above ground, extensive hydro demolition work was required in the building’s existing 4-storey basement.

Challenge

The hydro demolition resulted in a high level of dust and fumes being produced, potentially endangering site operatives.

Solution

Three Ventex Axial 800S fans were installed to supply fresh air at different basement levels. Once the hydro demolition started, three VENTEX 800 CF Centrifugal fans were also installed. Each fan delivered tens of thousands of cubic metres of fresh air hourly, ensuring good visibility and safe work conditions.
