Kennington Park Business Centre is a complex of modern, commercial workspaces located just outside central London. Canterbury Court, situated in the park, has been redeveloped as the new headquarters of the Workspace Group. During the redevelopment, shot blasting was required on some interior walls.

Challenge

Shot blasting generates large amounts of dust; this needed to be managed correctly to protect site operatives and nearby workers.

Solution

A self-contained Clearblast 600 Filter Unit was installed. Heavy particles fell into a waste bin in the unit, while lighter particles passed through the filter media. Clean air was then discharged into the atmosphere. The unit effectively protected site operatives and workers from airborne dust.
