Cold Weather Threatens Delays During Keyes Lodge Construction

Keyes Lodge is a new development in Dartford, designed specifically for the over 60s. It will contain 68 one and two-bedroomed apartments, as well a communal Owners’ Lounge, Guest Suite and landscaped gardens.

Challenge

During construction, cold and wet weather threatened to extend the drying time of recently completed plastering.

Solution

RVT installed a 150Kw, 110V oil fired heater, and several lengths of ducting that targeted different areas to enable rapid drying. Heat was evenly distributed throughout the building, which prevented any significant delays to work.
