Introducing Ravex® D2

News

What is the Ravex® D2?

This powerful solution will protect workers on site by removing harmful airborne hazards, including welding fumes, fine and coarse dusts, as well as gases and odours in non-ATEX environments.

What are the Key Features and Benefits?

  • Inside the unit there are two filters; a HEPA filter to remove fine dust and airborne particles, and there is a main filter to capture heavy dust. There is also an optional activated carbon filter to control odours and gas.
  • It is pre-fitted with articulated arms with 360° rotation for ease of use, and to extract as close to the source as possible. This is particularly useful when carrying out activities at bench height or higher.
  • The extractor has an automatic pneumatic cleaning system
  • The unit uses disposable filter cartridges which are low maintenance, you can simply remove the filter and replace it with a new one.
  • The high-performance fan, placed on the top of the unit, assures a high suction capacity and a low noise level

How does the Ravex® D2 work?

The filter unit consists of one vertical pre-chamber, where the heaviest dusts are filtered out, and fall into a collecting bin
(A). The finer particulate then continues to follow the labyrinth of high efficiency filtering cartridges, where it is filtered and
collected in the second bin (B). Finally clean air is exhausted through the top grill.

What are the Key Applications?

  • On site welding
  • Industry workshop welding
  • Gases in non-explosive environments e.g. GRP resins, intrinsically laminate (gel coat) fumes
  • Non-explosive Metal dust
  • Masonry Dust
  • Fume control for localised painting

Why is fume extraction important?
The effect that fumes have on a person’s health varies substantially depending on the exposure time, type of fumes and concentration of fumes. Workers could therefore experience anything from dizziness and fatigue to lung disease and heart disease. Some of the more volatile fumes, such as welding fumes, have been classified as carcinogenic, which means the fumes can cause cancer.
