This powerful solution will protect workers on site by removing harmful airborne hazards, including welding fumes, fine and coarse dusts, as well as gases and odours in non-ATEX environments.

The Ravex® D2 features two extendable arms with 360 degree rotation, enabling workers to position the extraction cup as close to the source as possible. This is particularly useful when carrying out activities at bench height or higher. The high-performance fan, placed on the top of the unit, assures a high suction capacity and a low noise level.

Inside the unit there are two filters; a HEPA filter to remove fine dust and airborne particles, and there is a main filter to capture heavy dust. There is also an optional activated carbon filter to control odours and gas. This makes the unit suitable for a range of substances including; welding fume, metal dust, masonry dust, paint vapours and other VOCs.

How does it work?

The filter unit consists of one vertical pre-chamber, where the heaviest dusts are filtered out, and fall into a collecting bin. The finer particulate then continues to follow the labyrinth of high efficiency filtering cartridges, where it is filtered and collected in a second bin. Finally clean air is exhausted through the top grill.

This is a specialist unit which has several high-performance features, for example, to maintain optimum performance the automatic pneumatic cleaning system blasts compressed air through the system every five minutes, so that any dust and debris outside of the filter falls into the collection bin. The unit also features horizontal disposable filter cartridges which are easy to access, remove and replace. Plus, the unit can easily be moved around the work area and secured into position using lockable castor wheels.
