£32,000 donated to Charity between January - June 2023

We are delighted to announce that RVT has donated over £32,000 to various charities in the first half of 2023.

Which charities did we donate to?

RVT are proud to continuously support a wide range of charities that align with our mission to protect the long-term health of people and the environment. As such, our donations so far this year have included;

• RRT (Rapid Relief Team) – £15,000 donated to RRT’s humanitarian aid campaign in Ukraine. You can read more about this donation here.

• SAAFA (Soldiers', Sailors', and Airmen's Families Association) – £5000 donated toward the charity’s support of military personnel and their families. You can read more about this donation here.

• Cancer Research UK – £540 donated toward the vital research and support offered to those living with cancer and their families.

• Water Aid – £480 donated toward the UK’s dedicated water charity and their mission to bring clean water and clean toilets to communities all over the world.

• RNID (Royal National Institute for Deaf People) – £744 donated toward the charity’s support of those who are deaf, suffer from hearing loss, or have tinnitus, as well as their important hearing conditions research. This amount is a combination of £2 donated for every customer NPS score we receive and our “Bring and Buy Sale” charity fundraiser.

• Rewilding Britain - £1,159 donated toward the charity’s large-scale restoration of ecosystems, allowing nature and wildlife to flourish and take care of itself. You can read more about this donation here.

Fundraisers

Not only have we donated to charities of our own choice, but we have also donated to charities chosen by our customers:

• We donated £100 to Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity in sponsorship of Julie Fitton and other members of the Graham Construction team who took part in the Dragon Boat Race.

• We also donated £100 to Water Aid, as part of the fundraising activities by the Tilbury Douglas team who took part in the Thames Water Raft Race.

• We donated £250 to Rally Round Rupert (a new charity that funds clinical research into Spinal Muscular Atrophy), to support George Mosey from Laing O’Rourke who led a team of 100 people walking 100 miles across Yorkshire.

Other charities we support

We also regularly donate to many other charities, such as Asthma + Lung UK, Guys & St Thomas’ and The Grace Trust.
