Across all seven offices, RVT employees were invited to take part in our annual bake-off competition, and they did not disappoint! The bake-off took place on 18th November and, for the third year running, raised funds for Cancer Research UK.

Half of the UK population will get cancer in our lifetime and will touch many more, even if we’re not directly affected. When it’s a cause close to our hearts, it’s great to see the continued support from RVT staff whose donations are contributing to vital, lifesaving research.

A variety of cakes, pastries and other baked goods were entered into the competition and included sausage rolls, chocolate brownies, peanut butter balls and even a traditional South African milk tart!

RVT has grown rapidly over the past couple of years, so we steered away from the traditional judging panel. Instead, team members were asked to vote for their favourite bake to make sure everyone had a fair chance of taking home the prize.

The votes have been counted, revealing the following winners, congratulations to:

Tina

Tina Diprose's Pigs In The Mud Cake at Riverbridge House, Dartford.

Isla

Isla Hayward's Chocolate Cake at Rossmore House, Chester.

Michelle

Michelle McCallum’s Sausage Rolls at Prospect House, Dartford.

Adam

Adam Ball’s Brownies at Sheffield

We hope you enjoy your prizes! Although, the real winners were our voters who, for a donation, got to taste as much cake as they could handle!

We’re proud to announce that this year we raised a total of £298 to Cancer Research UK.

This event is always a great way to bring everyone together, even when employees are miles apart – a huge thank you to everyone who got involved!
