Hyundai delivered the world’s first fully immersive football experience in their Euro 16 “pop-up” London Fan Dome. The Dome had a 1000 guest capacity, and housed multiple 4-metre high, 360-degree, multi-sensory screens.
The council were worried that local residents would be negatively affected by excessive noise, they therefore imposed strict noise reduction requirements on the event. Star Events therefore contacted RVT to request an acoustic barrier that would fully encase the interior of the dome.
Initially, RVT proposed a made-to-measure sound barrier product that would seamlessly fit the dome’s specification; however due to budget constraints, this was unachievable. Instead, RVT supplied over 300 Soundex Quilts that were used to fully line the inside of the fan dome.
