What is the difference between a proactive and reactive hazard control assessment?

Proactive Hazard Control Assessment: When planning for a project, it's important to consider all the challenges that could arise and negatively impact your project deadline, milestones or budget. Foreseeing potential hazards that could impact the environment or your workers, contractors, residents, or pedestrians' health and well-being is also an imperative part of planning.

Reactive Hazard Control Assessment: Alternatively, your project may be live and present an unexpected health or environmental hazard. In this instance, immediate action may be required to prevent delays, extra costs or harm to those nearby.

In both these instances, if you're not sure what the solution is for the potential hazard and need some support- that's when our free hazard control assessment is required.

NOTE: RVT Group will provide you with a free of charge hazard control assessment, which will include a recommendation for compliant engineering controls. These assessments are designed to support your health strategy and decision making, but should not be used as an alternative to a Site-Specific Risk Assessment, which is a legal requirement.
