RVT Group shortlisted for the 2024 BOHS LEV Practitioners' Award

News

On 19th September 2024, BOHS held their annual awards evening where RVT Group were shortlisted for the LEV Practitioners’ Award. This award would be awarded to an LEV Practitioner, Organisation or Group who demonstrated significant contribution to improving health in the workplace.

RVT Group were nominated and shortlisted for the following reasons:

  • Innovating new temporary LEV solutions to support large-scale LEV projects across the country.
  • Promoting the need for Thorough Examination and Testing, and sharing educational resources on this topic.
  • Offering real time dust control monitoring systems, that can be powered by green energy, such as solar and hydrogen.
  • Launching the ‘Action on Dust’ Summit in 2019, which evolved into the ‘Action on Site Health’ series of events, which has reached over 2000 construction workers across England and Scotland.
  • Developing and registering The 3 C’s® Methodology - ‘Capture, Contain, Control’. An easy-to-remember methodology that was designed to help contractors manage respiratory risks (and other hazards) on site.
  • Supporting the Health in Construction Leadership Group, with key contributions to the respiratory working group and the communications plan.
  • Championing training and qualifications; with over 30 staff holding the W201 certification, and many more holding P600, P601, P602 and P604. RVT Group are also listed as a Level ‘A’ Expert in the BOHS Directory, and our lead engineer holds the Certificate of Competence (CoC).

Whilst we didn’t win the category this year, we would like to wish many congratulations to Louise Wood for winning the LEV Practitioners’ Award.
