Demonstrating Good Practice, RVT Group

Collaborating in their first video demonstration, RVT and Osborne aim to highlight and overcome the serious health risk to personnel from one of the most common site hazards – dust.

Effectively managing and controlling dust during everyday tasks such as sanding and wall chasing is of paramount importance to ensure that the long-term health of workers, and those nearby, is not compromised.

On site with Osborne in Walthamstow, London, RVT was able to demonstrate how it is possible to maintain a safe working environment with minimum fuss, using their range of powerful dust control equipment.

Both Osborne and RVT are committed to raising awareness of the health hazards in construction, and educate personnel on effective solutions to overcome those risks.

"We were very privileged to have this opportunity to work with Osborne and are grateful for their support in this project. In working together with a key main contractor such as Osborne, we can achieve our shared goal of making sites safer in the UK for our workforce." – Tim Dupont, RVT Marketing Director

Jay Johnston, Head of Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) at Osborne said;

"We are really pleased to be collaborating to help highlight this serious issue. Controlling dust is a real issue within the construction industry and one that is often overlooked. It's estimated that more than 500 construction workers die from exposure to silica dust every year – that's more than 10 per week."

Every live counts.
