Southern Water’s Annual H&S Conference 2016
This annual Health & Safety Conference, aligned to their 'Aim for Zero Injuries' campaign, was attended by the client and contractors across multiple industries. It's a highly informative event for all, with the emphasis on learning and sharing best practices to mitigate accidents and health-risks on site.
As Rodrigo Quintana, Project Design Lead at Southern Water explains:
"Southern Water H&S conference 2016 has been a great experience to feel how the new methodologies and innovative techniques have been implemented along the business in the AMP6, in order to reduce and minimise any risk during the operation of the assets and during the design and construction of the schemes.
The aim of Zero injuries has been achieved by the company and we intend to continue this line all along this AMP."
There was genuine interest in the innovative products on display by all who attended RVT's stand. These products were largely focused around noise control measures, including the 'isolation house', which is an increasing need within the industry.
"Many could see potential in protecting long term health, promoting best practice and even enabling extended working hours."
Commented Kevin Dupont, Southern Sales Representative for RVT Group.
This event gave RVT a great opportunity to collaborate with Southern Water's sub-contractors and share innovations on noise control.
They look forward to seeing how the interest generated on the day develops in this vital industry.
