RVT’s Wear a Hat Day
RVT is proud to support local and national events that are close to our hearts. Brain Tumour Research's recent Wear a Hat Day 2017 was one such event, which not only allowed us to donate to a worthy cause, but also brighten up a Tuesday morning.
We joined thousands of others across the country in donning silly, weird and wonderful hats to raise awareness and funds for vital brain tumour research.
You may be surprised to learn that brain tumours kill more people under the age of 40 than any other cancer. And yet this devastating disease receives just 1% of the national cancer research budget allocation.
Wear a Hat Day was a fun way for us to offer our support and raise money towards their continued research.
"Another event organised by RVT's customer service team to show our support to a worthy cause. RVT's Wear a Hat Day held on Tuesday 4th April, was organised on behalf of and in support of the Brain Tumour Research charity.
Each team member was nominated a colleague to purchase, create or lend a hat to. We had people armed with varying creations! Some had thoughtfully chosen a suitable hat for their nomination, whilst others decided on something a little more adventurous for theirs. The CST also donated hat shaped cakes for the staff to enjoy – these went down a treat!
In total, the staff and company raised a fantastic £287.42 for Brain Tumour Research.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our Wear a Hat Day fun and look forward to supporting the charity again soon!"
