RVT’s 4th Quarterly Donation
We were delighted to present another quarterly donation to Action on Hearing Loss for £58, bringing our total for the year to £408, so a huge thank you must be extended to all our customers who took part.
RVT chose Action on Hearing Loss as the charity to link to our customer feedback programme, with a donation being made every time a customer completes our feedback questionnaire. This forms part of our ongoing commitment to improve the health of site workers. There are many health hazards faced on sites every day, including excess noise from plant machinery and tools. It's vital that the correct protective equipment is provided – and used – to ensure that workers' hearing is not affected.
Employers have a legal duty to protect hearing under the Control of Noise at Work Regulations (2005).
In 2016-17, through donations received and their own fundraising activities, Action on Hearing Loss "campaigned for change, invested in technology and treatments, and empowered over 121,000 people confronting deafness, tinnitus and hearing loss to live the life they choose".
Tim Dupont, Marketing Director at RVT commented,
"We continue to be proud to support Action on Hearing Loss with our quarterly donations, and it's with a huge thank you to our customers who have taken part that we're delighted to contribute to such a worthy cause.
"Protecting the hearing of construction site workers and the general public nearby is hugely important to RVT. Our commitment to research and developing equipment that minimises the risk of excess noise is paramount and ongoing.
"Supporting Action on Hearing Loss – the largest charity for people with hearing loss in the UK – is another part of our efforts to helps those already affected."
